AEU elections
AEU leadership officers and branch councillors are elected for three year terms. The most recent full election was held in October 2009. Following a resignation, nominations were called for candidates for deputy vice president of the TAFE and adult provision (TAP) sector. On June 3, 2011, Greg Barclay was formally elected unopposed.
Elections are held each year for delegates to branch and federal AEU conferences. Notices of these are posted below as they arise.
AEU branch council vacancies
AEU branch council meets eight times a year. Councillors are drawn from all sectors and all regions of Victoria. Council vacancies that arise between elections are posted below.
AEU rule changes
Any applications made by the AEU for changes to branch rules are notified here.
AEU reports
The AEU is legally required to make public certain reports and documents, including the annual financial report. You can download the AEU Victorian Branch Annual Financial Report 2010 (PDF 7.2MB) here.
AEU Branch Conference is on August 4, the highest decision making forum of the AEU Victorian Branch. There are almost 900 delegate positions for conference. The deadline for nominations is March 16. Download the election notice here. (PDF 99KB) » more...
