Principals

Principal class members of the AEU are automatically members of AEU Principals, the largest organisation representing principal class staff in Victorian public education.

The AEU believes principals and teachers are one profession and need a single powerful voice. The fast-growing AEU Principals association provides professional and industrial support and opportunities for networking and collaboration.

The AEU provides three dedicated principal class organisers who understand the particular challenges faced by principals and can offer advice and assistance in school or by phone or email. They also organise a busy schedule of meetings (PDF 95KB) across the state, to brief principal class members on current issues and provide an opportunity to meet socially and voice your concerns.

Jeff Walters (03 9418 4939) took up the role of principal class organiser in 2006 after 16 years as a primary principal and is joined by Glennis Pitches (03 9418 4863), former principal at Warrandyte High School.
