Your pay and conditions
AMES teachers are covered by the Adult Multicultural Education Services (AMES) Teachers' Collective Agreement 2009 (PDF, 150KB), which came into effect on July 7, 2009. It replaced the 2004 AMES Agreement, and also incorporated the previous 1994 and 1999 AMES Awards.
AMES teachers are also covered by the Education Services (Post Secondary Education) Award 2010, a new Modern Award; however, under the Fair Work Act (section 57), the terms of the award do not apply if an agreement is in operation.
