About us
AEU Victoria is the Victorian branch of the Australian Education Union - the federal union for teachers, principals, support staff and all educators working in public education in schools, preschools, TAFE and adult education.
Each state and territory in Australia has its own AEU branch. Nationally the AEU has more than 180,000 members. The AEU in Victoria is now a record 51,000 strong and growing.
We campaign for recognition of public education as the key to Australia's future, for fair pay for staff and fair funding for public schools and institutions, and for social justice in Australia and overseas. Those campaigns have attracted thousands of new members.
