Information Services Situated on the ground floor of the Trenerry Crescent head office, AEU Victorian Branch Information Services provide information, research assistance and resources to elected officers, staff and members of the Union. Our extensive collection of material is primarily on educational issues and industrial relations. Specialist collections include Koori education, women’s issues, leadership and school management, occupational health, educational history, economics, politics, TAFE, early childhood, school-based issues, teacher welfare and professional development. In addition to the book collection, there is an extensive range of national and international journals, federal and state government publications, legislation, vertical file and audiovisual materials. A complete collection of teacher union and Victorian Education Gazettes are also held from the early 1900s to the present day. Information and Research Services
We currently index The AEU News, Ministerial Memoranda and AEU (Victorian Branch) Union policy. We also selectively index other journals. Staff can conduct literature searches using these in-house indexes and other resources, including the internet. In addition, subject lists can be generated from the catalogue. Why not pop into Information Services while you're attending a conference or workshop and speak to one of our friendly staff? Call Information Services on (03) 9417 2822 (switch) or (03) 9418 4912 (direct) or check out the library link on our website (www.aeuvic.asn.au) for more information. New Acquisitions
