Health and safety reps

The AEU actively supports the work of elected health and safety representatives through the position of HSR Support Officer — Janet Marshall. Email Janet or call her on (03) 9417 2822.

Janet can help workplaces to form Designated Workgroups (DWGs) and elect HSRs (and deputy HSRs where negotiated); and help HSRs to understand their rights under the OHS Act and develop their knowledge and skills.

Janet speaks to new reps at VTHC training courses and also to AEU reps and members on our regular AEU Active courses.

We take every opportunity to promote the role of the HSR, including speaking to principal networks and departmental committees.

Please let us know what information you would like available or any way we can support you.
