Class splitting

The CRT Association views with concern the practice of splitting class to avoid the engagement of CRTs. The AEU encourages sub-branches to send the attached letter/s home to parents with a view to stopping this practice.

  • Letter 1 (DOC 470KB) - download this letter if the absent teacher's classes were split up and pupils moved to other classes.
  • Letter 2 (DOC 470KB) - download this letter if specialist classes were cancelled so that specialist teachers could cover for absent staff.
