Education Support Recognition Week 10-14 August

ALL year round, ES staff, teachers and principals work as a team to provide a high quality education for our students. ES Recognition Week is an opportunity to put the spotlight on the contributions education support staff make to that team.

The AEU has written to all sub-branches inviting them to take time out during ES Week to recognise the fundamental role ES employees play every day in so many different ways.

ES and teacher members should use the week to highlight to non-members the role the AEU plays in campaigning for better conditions for ES staff. Despite our growing numbers, some are unaware that they can even join the AEU.

We all need to support each other in the ongoing work to improve wages and conditions for all education workers.

To raise the profile of the ES members in the AEU, every school has been sent a poster for your staff room or office.

And this year, once again, AEU organisers will be handing out promotional materials for ES staff on their regular rounds of school visits. Book a visit from your schools organiser ASAP so your school doesn't miss out.
