The AEU has a strong commitment to the needs of TAFE members. It can support you professionally, legally and industrially. Gillian Robertson is the AEU's vice president for TAFE and adult provision (TAP). Rob Stewart is the deputy vice president (TAP). Administrative support is provided by Ann Dettenberg. TAFE 4 All: Fight the Government's skills reforms
The Victorian Government has introduced major reforms to skills provision which would devastate the TAFE sector. They will saddle students with higher fees, HECS-style debts and allow private providers to cherry-pick the cheapest, most popular courses by opening up all courses to competition.
