Event Information
This four-day program has been designed to respond to the urgent national need to encourage new leaders into assistant principal and principal positions.
Eligibility criteria: This course is designed for Leading Teachers, Assistant Principals, Acting Principals.

The program will enhance your capacity to work effectively as a leader in the position that you hold now; stimulate your interest and increase your confidence in a future that may include a principal role, but will include highly effective leadership.
The program will address the critical issues of leadership:
> Why am I leader? Why am I doing this?
> How do I become an effective leader?
> What strategic actions should I take as a leader?
> How do I enact ethical and strategic leadership?
Preparatory reading and task before and between workshop days will provide coherent links between the workshops and to your own school context.
The program's success relies on all pre-workshop tasks being completed by the participants.
Participants are expected to attend all four days.
Facilitators
Robin Adamson is an educational consultant and an experienced secondary principal class officer in the former western region. She has a passion for curriculum development and student wellbeing.
David Tyson is the Manager of the Professional Learning Centre and experienced secondary school principal who has worked in a range of diverse settings.
