One of the core aspects of educational research around effective teaching and learning is the importance of developing self-regulated indedpendent learners. However, how can learners become self-regulated and independent if they don't drive their own learning? In this workshop, you will explore the shift in context that is needed to create the systemic change in your school ebabling students to be active, independent learners. You will be taken through the anchor thinking, practices, structures and planning that need to be in place in your school to systemically develop students as life-long learners.
Facilitator: Dr Adrian Bertolini is the founder and director of Learning for Intuyu Consulting. He is one of Australia's foremost thought leaders on developing educational environments that empower and develop resilient, independent learners and leaders. Whilst his journey began as an engineer and Senior Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering at RMIT University, Adrian has spent 15 years partnering with students and teachers in primary, secondary and tertiary environments to transform educational practices.
